Mike Fisher of 105.3 the Fan in Dallas joined Dukes & Bell to talk some Cowboys with the guys. Fish told the guys “Jason Garrett who is under a great deal of scrutiny, this game last year against the Falcons helped create the stereotype that this coaching staff doesn’t make adjustments. ”

Fish talked about the philosophy of Cowboys “Linehan and Garrett are tied at the hip, but the philosophy is the defense is good enough, our running game and offensive line is good enough that we can grind it out, wear you down and control the game. That’s great if you can do it, which you could 2 years ago but these space age type teams which the Falcons are, can score and if you can’t keep up with them you will not beat them.”

When asked about if Jerry Jones will ever give up control of the Cowboys “Here’s what we have to accept, I asked Aikman this morning and in Dallas you have to come to grips with the fact that the Jones’ own the Cowboys and that’s never going to change. We’re going to have to deal with Jerry Jones imprint on the team, on the radio, as the face of the franchise and that’s never going to change til you put a tag on his toe. William Clay is the defacto GM along with Stephen Jones, the organizational chart is easier to figure out than ever, I would love to have Troy Aikman here as long as he doesn’t want the same title as Jerry has.”

Fisher told the guys which Cowboys could miss the game Sunday “The Cowboys have an extremely long list of guys who didn’t practice today, but most of those were just rest days, Sean Lee will not play on Sunday, I don’t think David Irving is going to be able to do much but will be a later in the week decision, Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch have been phenomenal so far so the LB core is doing well.”
