Ken Sugiura of the AJC joined Dukes and Bell to talk about some Georgia Tech football “I think it will be better, it’s going to be more aggressive on defense for sure, even the guys on offense have been saying that already.” Ken continued on the changes with the defense “One thing that a lot of players have said, everybody is running to the ball every single play, I think what they’re saying is you’re playing faster and it’s something you’ll see when they finally kick off the regular season.”

Carl asked Ken about the injury that backup QB Lucas Johnson apparently suffered at the scrimmage “After the scrimmage Paul said he had an injury, and at the fan day that afternoon you could see he had some type of cast on his lower right leg, it’s obviously not good for Tech at this point.”

When talking about the passing element of the Tech offense Sugiura told us “They’ll never be a team that completes 60-65% of their passes, because they don’t throw short passes because of the way the offense is set up where all the running is setting up longer passes and makes them 50-50 balls.”
