It's an exciting time to be an Atlanta sports fan with the Atlanta Braves up 4 1/2 games in the National League East and the Atlanta Hawks having an exciting NBA Draft.

The Braves had seven players advance in the MLB All-Star voting on Friday with one finalist at every position. Freddie Freeman, Ozzie Albies, Josh Donaldson, Dansby Swanson, Brian McCann, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Nick Markakis in contention for July 9th's All-Star game.

Meanwhile, the Hawks added Cam Reddish and De'Andre Hunter through the draft on Thursday. They'll be joining Trae Young, John Collins and Kevin Huerter who showed potential of being a future contender last season.

So who has the best young core: Braves or Hawks?

"(I'm) more excited about the Braves," Andy Bunker said. "It's more proven. I'm excited about the Hawks but the Braves have gone out on the field and shown you what they--we're hopeful that Trae Young can be an All-Star. Ronald Acuna is."
