It was a rough outing for Altanta Braves starting pitcher Julio Teheran in an afternoon game against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday.

Teheran lasted only 4 1/3 innings allowing nine earned runs. The end result was a 9-3 Miami Marlins win. His inconsistencies on the mound have been noted throughout this season.

“I never bought the Julio Teheran ace thing,” said John Fricke. “He just doesn’t have ‘ace’ stuff.” Hugh added that Teheran has simply been “too up and down.”

John continues to be frustrated with the lack of inactivity with the Braves as the trade deadline approaches (Tuesday, July 31). It causes him to proclaim 5 p.m. ET today as his personal trade deadline.

Should the Braves be more concerned about finding a starting pitcher, especially after this latest showing by Julio Teheran? Or should their focus be on the bullpen which has also had its share of struggles this season?
