92-9 The Game Atlanta Braves Insider Joe Patrick joined John Fricke and Hugh Douglas on The Morning Show to talk about the team's current road trip and what is going on with the starting rotation.

Patrick on Mike Foltynewicz’s return planned for Friday night at home against Colorado: “It will be welcomed, especially since he was the best pitcher on this team last year. This team has run through eight starting pitchers already.”

Patrick on Josh Donaldson: “This is the Josh Donaldson we all hoped to see. I don’t think you were going to get an MVP candidate but you expected big things from Donaldson. He brings real personality to this team.”

Patrick on the comeback Saturday night against the Cleveland Indians: “I think it could be the pivotal moment in the Braves season. If they go on to compete for the division or a wild card spot this will be a moment they look back on.”

Patrick on the Braves starting rotation: “I think you are starting to see the rotation pan itself out, especially with Mike Foltynewicz coming back. Max Fried has been superb and that has been a huge boost for the Braves.”

Patrick on the bullpen: “It’s not as easy as just signing Craig Kimbrel. I honestly think they need at least three more arms in this bullpen. I think Bryse Wilson will be an added boost. They may throw Newcomb (Sean Newcomb) in there. I don’t think they make a trade until the market improves and teams are looking to sell.”
