Our own Atlanta Braves Beat Reporter, Joe Patrick, IS WET!  On the eve of one of the biggest games to most recently visit the great State of Georgia, Thomas Mott was excited to have Joe on Ready or Mott, LIVE from the clubhouse following the Braves 6-0 win over San Francisco.  Joe begins the conversation commenting about how everyone seemingly looked passed the Braves to start the season, especially with what the Phillies did in the off-season.

Austin Riley was a big moment in the season, but the truly big moment was when manager, Brian Snitker, moved Ronald Acuna to the lead-off spot.  Alex Anthopolous is batting 1.000 with his moves.  Freeman, as champagne pours down on him reflects, "We knew we had a special team..." but what AA has been able to do and add, put this team over the top.  Ozzie Albies and Acuna deals, Josh Donaldson, Dallas Keuchel.  They all can say, "been there, done that", and have that swagger and winner's mentality necessary to win in the Post Season.

Obviously, they're enjoying tonight, and earlier in the season, the Dodgers would have been lightyears ahead of the Braves, but now...the Braves are RIGHT THERE.  we are all anxious to see how this team can compare to the Braves of the 95-05 Division winners.  Folty had the game of his season tonight, leading the team to clinch after being sent down earlier this year with mental problems and location problems. To watch Folty go 8 innings allowing 0 earned runs is nothing short of amazing.  With Acuna only 3 stolen bases away from the ellusive 40-40 club, what can we expect to see over the final 7 games?  Will he stay out there?  Joe believes Snit is going to give a lot of guys resting during the KC series.  Bring him on as a pinch runner and give him the chance to close out an incredible MVP worthy regular season.  Keep your Chop Arm Strong, Braves Country!
