Falcons Cornerback Robert Alford joined Rick and John to discuss the injuries on defense and to preview the upcoming game versus the Cincinatti Bengals. Alford said that it is tough to deal with all of the serious injuries on the defensive side of the ball.

Alford then talked about the learning curve from the missed tackle on Drew Brees and letting him get into the end zone. He mentioned that his main focus is to trust his instincts and his technique. Alford said the team can't focus on the calls and have to go out and trust their instincts and move on to the next play.

Alford stated that he trusts the coaching staff and wants to do his job to help the team and get the win at the end of the day. He broke down the wide receivers for the Bengals and how they have to study all three along with quarterback Andy Dalton. He said it is important for him to study his opponents so that he is ready on Sunday to contribute to the team the best he can.

Alford said he is proud of Calvin Ridley for scoring three touchdowns this past week and knows it is the hard work of the whole team that made that happen going back to OTA's and training camp. Alford said his family is always for pulling for him to win on Sunday even if it's against the Saints.

Alford joked about Takk McKinley's wardrobe and how he wears pajama pants to the facility. He said McKinley is a quiet guy off the field but a heck of a competitor on the field.  Rick laughed and said he loved McKinley's sack dance against the Carolina Panthers and said you never know what he will pull out of his pocket.

Alford mentioned that the team prepares for adversity and the coaches have done a good job to pick guys to come in and plug holes on defense left behind due to injuries.
