When the news came out on Thursday afternoon that Vic Beasley was working out on his own and not attending Falcons OTA's, John Fricke and Hugh Douglas started to wonder why Vic Beasley felt it was smart to stay away.

Hugh Douglas started by explaining how all week he said it was fine for Julio to miss OTA's, but now it's not okay for Vic Beasley to be missing.

"Vic Beasley's body of work is not that of Julio Jones. Julio's body of work speaks for itself. Beasley on the other hand is at a critical point in his career in football. He needs to be there soaking up as much knowledge as he can."

Hugh continued to discuss why Vic Beasley should have been in Flowery Branch with the rest of the team.

"With the pressure on Beasley this year, he needs to do everything in his power to keep the critics silent until the season starts," Hugh said. "It was up in the air whether Vic Beasley would be here, if they would tender him the money. Coming off the season you just had, you need to do everything you can to show you're trying to be a better player"

John Fricke is ticked off because Dan Quinn has wanted to get his hands on Vic and improve his game and he can't do that if Vic isn't on the fiekd with him.

"Dan Quinn taking over as Defensive Coordinator. If he lollygags on this thing and it doesn't work out for him on the season. DQ said as Defensive Coordinator he can remake him"
