Atlanta Falcons defensive end Vic Beasley skips OTAs

Atlanta Falcons’ defensive end, Vic Beasley is taking a lot of heat for not showing up for OTAs (Organized Team Activities), not only from fans but Bryant McFadden and JR.

The main controversy is that OTAs are OPTIONAL and some fans do not care whether certain players attend them or not such as: Julio Jones, Grady Jarrett, or even Deion Jones.

Many people believe Beasley has a lot to prove this year and that is the main reason he should be attending OTAs. Beasley was drafted 8th overall in 2015 by the Falcons, favorited by Dan Quinn. These two are tied at the hips not only through the draft pick but with the recent changes to the Falcons coaching staff making Dan Quinn defensive coordinator.

Dan Quinn has stated on record wanting to work hands on with Vic Beasley and BMac emphasizes how OTAs is a perfect opportunity to do so, “One of the biggest knocks about Vic Beasley and is his inability to be productive, he has no pass rushing moves… you can’t try to run around these offensive linemen. Establish some type of moves. This is the best opportunity to do so,” says Bmac.

Since having a 15 sacks in his second season, Vic Beasley has not lived up to his potential.
