The cap casualties continue to roll through as the Atlanta Falcons clear payroll for the 2019 season.
And, going along with the new trend in announcing these moves, defensive end Brooks Reed let us in on the move via social media. Per his Instagram account:
A post shared by Brooks Reed (@brooksreed50) on
The Falcons would have been on the hook for $5.44 million had Reed stayed with the team. By releasing him -- the Falcons have not confirmed the move, yet -- Atlanta will save $4.5 million and take a dead-money cap hit of $940,000 in 2019.
