Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff joined John Fricke and Hugh Douglas on Monday morning and discussed the Falcons 2019 Draft.

Here are some of the comments that Dimitroff shared on the Atlanta Falcons 2019 Draft Class.

  • "Chris (Lindstrom) is one of those guys, we got a chance to meet him, his knowledge of football and resiliency, we felt he'd be an important part of our offensive line and our future."
  • We have to make sure we get useful offensive lineman to grow with. Part of our acquisitions in free agency is to help develop the guys we bring in the draft."
  • "We knew that the (OL) depth wasn't where the depth needed to be, and we need to continue to make sure to build that O-Line and be solid across the board."
  • "We knew we had to be creative on how to build the rest of the team. Sitting for two rounds, we felt comfortable. We were busy monitoring how things were playing out and we hit on the areas of need we thought we needed for this football team."
  • "[John> Cominsky caught my eye from the very beginning. Ohio guy, gritty, tough, hard-nosed, passed over in the recruiting process, has versatility to play defensive end or can move inside as he continues to gain weight, we know he can help us."
  • "Really looked at what was most important in terms of building the team. We thought in the end we had to go offensive line over defense."
  • "We needed to add to that running back group. We have some competent running backs, we wanted to add size, deceptive speed for a big back, and we needed to add that to the 3 or 4 we already had."
