We learned today that Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman won't play another game of the 2018 season.

Freeman underwent sports hernia surgery following Week 5's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was placed on Injured Reserve with a chance to return in time for Week 15's match-up against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

With playoffs now out of the picture for the Falcons (5-9), head coach Dan Quinn joined the Morning Show to confirm Freeman won't be back this season.

The Falcons officially placed RB Ito Smith on IR Tuesday while promoting RB Jeremy Langford from the practice squad to the active roster.
