Atlanta Falcons safety Ricardo Allen joined Dukes & Bell Wednesday and talked about his road to recovery, and what does the defense have to do to help get a win on Sunday.

Allen talked about how good it feels to be back on the field.

“Just to be to this point is a blessing,” Allen said. “That grind was hard. You have to learn to enjoy it. With an Achilles, your body heals at its own pace; one day you will work super hard and the next day you will be really sore and think that you’ve taken a step back. But you have to just keep on that grind.”

When asked about what the Falcons defense has to do to secure a win on Sunday...

“Minimize explosions,” Allen said. “Try to get as many turnovers as we can, get our hands on the ball, make plays like we do, and minimize explosions. Make them have to drive down all the way down the field and not give big chunks ever in the run game or pass game. It’s going to be a slow grind and I think we can minimize the points.”
