Color analyst for the Atlanta Falcons Dave Archer joined The Midday Show with John and Jason to preview this weekend's preseason game versus the Jacksonville Jacksonville.

Dave talked about Jalen Ramsey's comments regarding Matt Ryan, but Ryan isn't bothered. His comments meant nothing to him.

Dave is concerned for the Falcons and talks about Takk McKinley as he comes back from injury and may even need to hold him back for his own good. He also reminds the fans that some teams treat game No. 3 in the preseason like a dress rehersal for the regular season, but this is not the case for the Falcons.

Arch told us this week will be a great test for Brandon Fusco to establish himself as the right guard for the Falcons against an elite defense. He believes Fusco will take the step to solidify himself at the position for the Falcons to start the season.

Arch mentioned that he is concerned with using Calvin Ridley on special teams, but would rather save his talents for the offensive side of the ball to score touchdowns. Dave told us of the disappointment in rookie running back Ito Smith in the return game who couldn’t even catch the ball.

Dave mentioned the misconception of how Duke Riley has been portrayed in the preseason by his play, based on what people see on the field and not really knowing what Riley’s responsibilities are for the Falcons.

Arch told us Justin Gage is a guy on the rise for the Falcons based on his play this preseason.
