President and CEO of the Atlanta Falcons Rich McKay joined Dukes & Bell, and talked about the addition of Bruce Irvin.

“The good teams do these things and they do it well," said McKay. "You’ve seen teams bring in a veteran and see the veteran play well right away. The difference here is our DC and our head coach have a relationship with Bruce, rushing the passer because priority number one this time of the year so it was good to see us add someone who could help us with that.”

McKay talked about Dan Quinn’s message to the team when they were 1-4 to start the season..

“One thing that Dan said in the team meeting was let’s talk about the big picture, but let’s focus on the small picture we have to win a game," said McKay. "And the team has focused on the task at hand. Their focus has been really good, like today’s practice felt extremely focused and they’re going to have to stay focused to go get another win.”

When asked about the win over the Washington Redskins to get back to .500...

“What I’m proud of is last week looked a little different than other weeks,"McKay told Dukes & Bell. "What I mean is games have been coming down to the end. We’re in a dog fight, we you get at 1-4 its tough, but at 4-4 we are definitely in the mix and we need these players who have stepped in for others to keep getting better.”
