Douglas on the young core: "I'm very excited moving forward with Trae Young, John Collins, and Kevin Huerter."

Douglas and Fricke both agree that they would rather have the number 1 overall pick (Zion Williamson) instead of having the fifth pick and the eighth pick, but Fricke said that he trusts Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk to make the right picks no matter where the Hawks draft.

Fricke talked about Atlanta being a destination for NBA free agents this summer.

"Between the young core, the ownership, and the new arena, I believe that Atlanta has gotten over the hump of being a free agent destination," said Fricke.

"We will find out this summer," Douglas responded.
