Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins hasn't laced up his sneakers to play in the 2018-19 season. According to the Hawks, he's progressing, but still not ready.

"Forward/center John Collins underwent a follow-up examination and additional imaging on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex," the Hawks released via a statement Monday. "The results show continued progression in his rehabilitation from mild inflammation and soreness in his left ankle. He has progressed to modified on-court drills and shooting routines with the goal of integrating him into modified team practice in the coming week. His status will be updated as appropriate."

The second-year star out of Wake Forest averaged 10.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in his rookie year last season.
