The Atlanta Hawks suffered a tough loss at the hands of the L.A. Clippers Monday night, 127-119. The loss marks the eighth-straight for Atlanta.

"We showed glimmers and held it together last night for about three-and-a-half quarters, so we're getting closer and moving in the direction," Hawks GM Travis Schlenk told the Morning Show with John and Hugh on Tuesday.

L.A. had a 15-2 rally in the 4th quarter to drop the Hawks to 3-14 on the young season.

Trae Young put up 25-points and a career-high 17 assists in the loss and currently leads the NBA in both categories.

Despite the loss, and experience his young team is getting, Schlenk said he wouldn’t mind seeing a win at some point to give his bunch some confidence.

"It's still important for these guys to get some wins just for the positive reinforcement. I wish last night we would have been able to hold on and get a dub but the Clippers are a good team."
