Atlanta Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce joioned The Midday Show with Rick & John Thursday after his Hawks came from behind to beat the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. He also confirmed that veteran Vince Carter got onto th eguys at halftime for being down by 26 points.

"Vince stays on the guys," said Pierce. "I think the biggest thing he brings to us is just his committment to basketball, his committment to the game. It's personal for him. He loves this game and he respects the  game, he understands the joy it brings him. To get down 20, you gotta look at yourself in the mirror. And he tells our guys that it's not about one player or one person or what you can do, it's about us getting better and helping each other out. He's always in the huddles, it's kind of his key role of being in the huddles and just reminding the  guys to stay together."

Pierce also spoke abut rookie point guard Trae Young an dhis mindset to shoot the ball.

Just a few games into his professional career, Young isn't just a long-rage shooter any longer.
