Rick and John talk with Hawks Head Coach Lloyd Pierce and he mentions his first Christmas with a 4 month old who had more fun eating wrapping paper than opening gifts.

They pivot to Wednesday’s game vs. the Pacers and Rick mentions how amazing the crowd was. Coach was also impressed with the fans who are coming out to the new arena to check out the young team despite the season record.

Coach Pierce talks about his expectations 40 games into the season and if it compares to what he thought it would be. He continues that they are constantly trying to correct mistakes and not having to talk about “effort” after each game, as the players are giving their best nightly. They talk about John Collins who had a scary fall Wednesday, but coach mentions he is ok and is showing no sign of fatigue. Coach talks about Trae Young and his constant work on spacing vs. shooting.

They cover the Hawks weekend schedule and what we can expect from the Road trip Friday and home game Saturday.
