Jason Longshore joined Dukes & Bell and talked about how the team landed Pity Martinez “This is the reigning South American player of the year, a guy who everyone thought he would be headed to Europe, when the rumor broke he might come here people said no way. He said he made the decision because of what the United has done their first two years, and he said it’s because they put their trust in him.”

Longshore talked about what is the next move for the United “This is what a lot of Atlanta United fans have been waiting for with having four designated players on your roster, you can only have three and you have to be down to four by March 1st, you either have to transfer Miggy or Barco because Josef isn’t going anywhere and Pity isn’t going anywhere.”

When asked about what kind of player Pity is Jason said “He has confidence that you don’t normally see in this league, he has a swagger kind of like Josef but he plays a different position and brings different things. He will try stuff and he has the confidence in himself to do it and he’s really come into his own in the last year and a half, you’re getting a player that is already an elite player right now.”
