Atlanta United Color Analyst Jason Longshore joined Jon Chuckery to talk about a variety of topics regarding the Five Stripes. Longshore on what the difference will be under new manager Frank De Boer, “You never know until you get into the season but style of play should be similar. He may see certain players that he could get more out of or that he may look at in a different day.”

Longshore on the age difference between Tata Martino and Frank De Boer, “Tata was more of a father figure and Frank De Boer is much younger. I think the biggest difference will be their personalities, they are much different.”

Longshore when asked if Josef Martinez will every think about leaving in the coming years now that he has a new contract, “This is a big contract to begin with so I’m not sure how many teams would want to take that on along with a big transfer fee.” Longshore does not see Martinez going anywhere anytime soon.

Longshore on the acquisition of Dion Pereira, “He is a guy who can attack in one-on-one situations which is something Frank De Boer loves to try and do with his players.”

On a potential Miguel Almiron transfer, “I think Atlanta United will get that $30 Million they are looking for.” Longshore went on to say that this could change the league forever from a financial perspective.
