Atlanta United Color Analyst Jason Longshore joined Jon Chuckery and Randy McMichael to preview the 1st leg of the Eastern Conference Finals between Atlanta United and the New York Red Bulls.

Longshore on the how Atlanta United matches up with the Red Bulls, “I think United has an advantage in the central midfield. I’ll put Eric Remedi, Darlington Nagbe, and whoever else we have out there. I think Remedi is one of the most underrated players.”

Longshore on the Red Bulls system, “A couple of wrinkles have been added to their tactics but they don’t want to have possession of the ball, which sounds strange. What they do is create their chances through defense.”

Longshore on what the rest of this season means to Tata Martino, “I think there is and I think there is extra motivation for the players as well. I have had this conversation with people on the national side and they believe that if he doesn’t win a trophy this year that his tenure in Atlanta won’t be seen as a success. But I think long term we will realize how much he has done for this team.”

Longshore went on to talk about players to look out for on the Red Bulls and how Atlanta United will approach today’s match from a tactical standpoint.
