It was a record-setting night for Atlanta United's Josef Martinez on Friday night. The striker notched his 28th goal, breaking the MLS single-season goal record.

The goal also tying  another MLS record -- nine straight matches with a goal.

Voice of Atlanta United Mike Conti said calling the goal was one he wouldn't forget:

"I was really hoping he would get it on a penalty kick, really. I would've been a lot calmer. I would've known exactly what was going to happen. I could've mentally prepared for it. I could've been a lot more composed; and instead, screaming like a banshee."

This goal was special not only because it was record-setting but of what Conti said defines this team:

"I thought the way that goal developed on Friday because it was a team goal. It was Julian Gressel with a great run kind of up the right wing; slicing, cutting run placing a beautiful ball in front of Josef. Orlando City did their part as the worst defense in MLS...But we have said numerous times [on the broadcast> that a striker is only as good as the service he gets. And Josef has 28 goals this year; he's going to score well over 30. That's a remarkable achievement. He's not doing anything remotely close to that if he's not getting the service from his team."
