It's been such a long time since the MLS opened it's season some may have forgotten that Atlanta United is already 2-0-0.

The time between the last game played and when United will lace them up is similar to an offseason, but Atlanta United Goalie Brad Guzan, who joined John and Hugh, feels there won't be the slow ramp up period you see at the start of a season.

"We've been doing individual training, small group training and now full team training and what separates this break from a normal offseason, even though it's been longer than a normal offseason,  is that the mental side knowing this isn't an offseason and you had to keep going throughout the quarantine period staying sharp," says Brad Guzan. "It's been an enjoyable transition back and you start to see the fiery competitiveness coming out in guys."

Guzan isn't saying the team will be better than they were previously, a lot of that revolving around the idea of playing without Josef, but he does feel they'll be ready to play when the tournament begins.
