Brad Guzan joined Dukes & Bell and talked about the West Coast swing the team is about to go on “Definitely it should be a good few weeks to stop scrimmaging ourselves and play someone else, but more importantly it gives us time to be in the hotel together for team meals and to come together as a team.”

Brad talked about what it was like to win a championship “First and foremost it was just pure excitement, to have the opportunity to be in the final in your home city with a chance to raise the cup you just don’t get those very often. It was such a great group of guys, to be able to win with those guys was just awesome.”

When asked about the rumors of Miguel Almiron transfer “When you’re on a good team that’s what happens there is interest in players and coaches, and that’s what you want. You want what’s best for him if the reports are true this is a great opportunity for him, getting settled on and off the pitch is going to be important for him so he will need a good support system. If this is true you wish he the best, we wish for the best for him and his family.”

Guzan discussed the addition of Pity Martinez  “The vision and the desire of wanting to put a successful team on the field starts with Arthur being willing to invest the money and telling them that he’s willing to spend the money to go get the best players. To get someone like Pity Martinez to come to Atlanta speaks volumes about what Atlanta United has established so far.”

Brad told the guys what to expect from Frank de Boer “I think he’s done a fantastic job in doing his homework and having a real understand that we were successful last year so it doesn’t have to be a complete wipeout from what we’ve done, ultimately he knows we are an attack minded team and that’s what we do best.”
