Former Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman and pass-rush specialist Chuck Smith joined Dukes & Bell on Tuesday to talk about why Vic Beasley never panned out in Atlanta. Did Beasley disrespect the team during his time in Flowery Branch?

Smith talked about how Beasley did Dan Quinn wrong.

“This organization, they covered for Vic, they protected him after the season he had in 2016,” Smith said. “He comes out and grandstands when Dan Quinn put his name on the line and becomes the D-coordinator and transitions the defense because of Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley. Q does that, and this man he decides to not show up. He’s training in Buford, 15 minutes from the facility and this guy put his reputation on the line.

"He’s loved him, hes stuck behind him, he’s basically protected him, and for him to slap him in his face, train at a private gym in Buford and do a half-ass job. It’s him and Bud Dupree, so Vic goes in there does what he has to do and leaves.”
