Bill Hancock joined Dukes and Bell live from SEC Media Days Tuesday at the Omni Hotel.

“This is 'so much better than the BCS', we haven’t had to make many tweaks since we started," said Hancock. "The best thing we did was create the selection committee of football experts to debate the teams who get in.”

Hancock was asked what the room is like when the committee is picking the teams.

“It has been tense, always professional and respectful but it has been tense," said Hancock. "They get at each other in that room.”

When asked if it the criteria changes each year for how teams are judged to get into the Playoff...

“The issue the committee faces is every set of data is different from the year before," said Hancock. "The committee evaluates the same way every year, there is never going to be some cookie cutter formula.”
