The Atlanta Braves' season hasn't gotten off to the start they had hoped for.

On the mound they've already had three starters not reach the fourth inning (Newcomb, Folty, and Wright), and at the plate they are leading the league in a less-than-ideal category.

The Braves have struck out 31 times over the past two games and 64 times on the season, both of those numbers lead the National League.

Ronald Acuña Jr., who is hitting just .158 through five games, has struck out 12 times all by himself.

John Fricke and Hugh Douglas take a look at the struggles at the plate and if that's just something you deal with when an offense is as powerful as the Braves offense is.

"If you look at the Braves with guys like Acuña and Riley, Freeman, and Matt Adams, Ozuna, a lot of big home run hitting guys, not necessarily a bad thing," said Fricke. "But with longballers come a lot of strikeouts. Acuña is really scuffling to start the season."
