Joining the show to talk about the upcoming NFL Draft is NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks.  “I think it’s all interesting and I have Josh Allen going to the Cleveland Browns, but I don’t think he’s the best QB in the Draft.  When you look at these teams, how many are willing to bypass impact to get a quarterback?”  On rumors “I think we will definitely see some movement amongst the top five next week.  By draft night, I think we will see a blockbuster deal that could end up seeing a rush on quarterbacks.”  On Saquon Barkley possibly going to the Giants – “You put him on the field with Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr., it will help them.  You put a talent on the field like Barkley, you’ll get results.”

Is Vita Vea the best defensive player in this draft? – “He’s definitely one of the top guys, he betters suited at stopping the run.  But I don’t know if you’re getting a pass rusher with him, but he’s a bonafide top-15 selection.  What Atlanta needs is urgent athletes, a person who can be a disruption at the point of attack.  I think guys like Tavon Bryan and Da’Ron Payne can be effective for them.”

What about the Falcons adding a WR? – “There will be plenty of players available in the second- or third-round to help teams.  There are a number of players they may prioritize at that position, but given what they have, I don’t know what they might be looking for.”  Your thoughts on Jaire Alexander of Louisville? – “He definitely fits with what they’re trying to do down there.  You have to build your team for what you face in your division, and you may need four or five corners to deal with what’s in New Orleans and Tampa Bay.”

Brooks spoke highly of Louisville’s Lamar Jackson, saying he reminds one of Michael Vick, but says a team has to be “all in on the talent,” but he doesn’t know if there are many teams willing to adapt to his style of play.
