After another win Monday night, this time in San Francisco against the Giants, the Braves have won eight of their last 10 and are among the hottest teams in baseball. John and Hugh talk about the team expectations and if that has changed since the sweep at the hand of the Los Angeles Dodgers. They discuss the moves that have been made since then, including moving Ronald Acuña Jr. to leadoff, calling up Austin Riley, and Sean Newcomb and Touki Toussaint being used out of the bullpen.

Hugh began by looking at how quickly some fans have flipped on this team.

"I find it funny," said Hugh. "A couple weeks ago it was doom and gloom. This is the ebb and flow of baseball. It's not a finished product, they're still working the kinks out, and there's a lot of baseball to be played"

John agrees that it's been a quick switch, but for good reason, because it's a different Braves side now.

"My expectations are they can win the NL East. Yes it's a big change from 10 days ago, but because of the changes they made, this is a dramatically different team than they were just 10 days ago."

John doubled down by stating the team is better than the squad that won the division last year

"I think this is a better team than last year," said Fricke. "With the addition of Donaldson, calling up Riley, Soroka, there's no reason this team isn't a contender the entire way."

While Hugh isn't sure this year is the year, he does admit he sees big things from the current group.

"It's the Phillies and us," said Hugh. "I always felt strongly about this team. When you look at the team the way it's constructed right now this is something you're going to enjoy for a lot of years. I see a World Series Championship in the future with these young core group of guys"
