Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper who is in his second straight pro-bowl talked to 92.9 The Game’s Caleb Johnson on Wednesday and told him that the team hasn’t made a new contract offer yet. Dukes & Bell decided to weigh in on if they think the team should pay Austin Hooper or move on from the two time pro-bowl tight end.

Carl said that if you think you can’t win without Hooper than you need to re-sign him.

“He is a guy who has continued to get better every year.” Dukes said “When you draft guys and they continue to get better, you resign them. Are you saying we can’t win without Hoop? If you’re saying that then you re-sign him, but I’m not sure if you need him to win.”

Mike talked about wanting to re-sign Hooper and linebacker De’Vondre Campbell.

“When you look at the numbers he is a top 5 tight end.” Bell said “I want to keep Hooper and Campbell. To me it’s the same as Julian Gressel, you drafted and developed him, whether you like him or not he’s our guy and I want to keep him.”
