Cam Newton joined Dukes and Bell and told the outlook for the Panthers this year “Each and every other person on this roster is trying to match their role on this team, just like any other team in this league everyone has high hopes, over time we will see.

Cam talked to the guys about his new Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner “Norv is extremely easy to work with, this whole coaching staff has been someone therapeutic, you never know what to expect with a new offensive staff, since day 1 he’s been extremely open to my views on things and my approach as well.”

Newton told the guys how he feels about Kelvin Benjamin “I wasn’t shocked, this is the NFL, you just have to roll with the punches, I still love Benjii and his family from their time here, and I just need to be the best me I can be.”

When asked about the new helmet rule, Cam said “I think it’s going to do a lot of help for guys down the road, coming from a person that’s had a concussion it’s nothing you want to play with, a lot of things start with head trauma. The freakish athletes you have in the NFL now, and taking a straight blow to the head can be dangerous, it’s watering down the sport from the outside looking in, but it’s going to be good for it in the long-term.”
