Cole Cubelic, from the SEC Network and co-host of 3 Man Front on Jox 94.5 in Birmingham, joined Rick Kamla and John Michaels on The Midday Show Thursday.

Cubelic told us that the best running back for the Georgia Bulldogs is Elijah Holyfield because he packs a bigger punch and grinds out a few more yards per run. He mentioned that UGA is a different team this year with the offensive line not being as dominant and the middle of the defense not being as stout. Cubelic talked about how UGA fans are falling for the Nick Saban effect, where wins aren’t enough when it comes to the new culture at UGA.

Cubelic talked about the top 12-14 teams in college football and how they will play each other at some point and that’s going to show us who will be a CFP contender.

In terms of Vanderbilt, Cubelic definitively told us that Vandy has no shot at beating UGA this week in Athens and cited Kyle Shurmur the Vandy quarterback not being up to par to challenge the UGA squad.

Cubelic didn’t have an issue with Jimbo Fisher grabbing his player’s facemask and even talked about the player coming out and defending his coach. Cubelic mentioned how he was pushed around as a player and a coach grabbing a face mask is not a big deal.

Finally, Cubelic thinks LSU will be able to dominate the line of scrimmage with fewer players against the Florida Gators and get the win.
