Atlanta United Radio Network play-by-play announcer Mike Conti joined The Morning Show with John Fricke and Hugh Douglas Monday to talk about the team’s 4-0 loss in their first game of the season.

Conti said the one thing that really stood out to him was the technical precision in the offensive attack to string along passes in order the score. Would Ezequiel Barco’s presence have made a difference? He says "Absolutely." His absence left the starting lineup to play out of position. Conti thinks Barco was also brought in to be that spark in the team.

”I don’t know if they would’ve won the match with Barco, but they certainly wouldn’t have lost 4-0,” said Conti.

Conti felt bad because there were a ton of Atlanta United supporters in Houston, and you wanted to see them go home with a goal or two.
