Voice of Atlanta United Mike Conti joined John and Hugh to recap Saturday's 2-1 win over Montreal Impact.

Striker Josef Martinez scored goals number 23 and 24 in the win and is on pace to score 38 goals which would shatter the MLS record. Mike joked that maybe a thunderstorm, like the one that delayed the match on Saturday, could be the only thing to slow down Martinez, adding that he only needs three goals to break the MLS season record. “What he’s been able to do is really amazing."

Among other performances he highlighted from Saturday’s win in Montreal was the play of newcomer Eric Remedi.

“He was a big reason as to why they played so well on Saturday, I really like what I saw from him.”

On the value of Wednesday’s All-Star Game against Juventis, Conti doesn’t believe fans will get the premium stars of the opposition but he does believe the MLS players will want to win. He also passed along news of the absence of LA Galaxy’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will not play in Wednesday's match, and the latest in the MLS’ playoff race.

With a big week of activities ahead surrounding the MLS All-Star Game, Mike pointed out the “Homegrown Game” in Marietta as something that could be of interest to fans unable to make to Wednesday’s match.
