While Falcons kickoff in Minnesota is just 2 days away, it was a 4-minute press conference in Flowery Branch that have stolen all the headlines.

On Thursday afternoon Falcons WR Julio Jones met with the media and was asked about his intentions to play on Sunday if he doesn't have a new contract.

The media and fan reaction was wild as Julio dodged questions and talked around a direct answer.

Pretty much everybody has been left wondering if Julio will play on Sunday and that includes Hugh Douglas and John Fricke who discussed just that on Friday morning.

"It feels to me like there's still a huge disparity between the two. If you're moving money around to try to sign this man on Tuesday, it's Friday and nothing has been done," says Hugh. "The league office is closed on the weekend. If it doesn't get done today it's not going to get done this weekend and now we're left to the mercy of what Julio Jones wants to do."

Hugh is pretty steadfast that the contract situation regarding Julio Jones could have a very real impact on the field on Sunday.

"If the deal isn't done today, Julio Jones will go into the weekend without a new contract. If he doesn't have a new contract, he's not playing."
