Fox Sports Braves Analyst Nick Green joined John and Hugh to talk about the Atlanta Braves bullpen.

Green on what happened with the middle relief last night, “You have to rely on certain guys but Sobotka couldn’t get the job done last night.” Green continued, “It wasn’t just guy that was the problem, it was everyone last night.”

Green on if Craig Kimbrel is still an effective closer, “I do and I would love to see Craig Kimbrel on this team. If he sits out half the year, it might be a good thing for me. The thing is you have to decide if you want to give up a draft pick or not.”

Green continued, “There may be some concern that Kimbrel isn’t the same guy. I don’t like him for 5 years but I’d take him for 3.”

Green on moving starters to the bullpen, “I was an advocate of Max Fried being moved to the bullpen for long relief but he has done so well as a starter. Who’s to say Touki (Touki Toussaint) can’t be moved to the bullpen.”

Green went on to talk about what the rest of the bullpen brings to the table.
