Day 2 of voluntary Organized Team Activities brought new information on the Julio Jones saga from Atlanta Falcons HQ in Flowery Branch.

Speaking to the media after the team practiced, head coach Dan Quinn shared that he had been in recent and regular contact with Jones.

“Julio and I, we speak regularly,” said the Falcons head coach per the team's website. “I was fully aware that he wasn’t going to be here for the start of the offseason program, and I was also aware that he wasn’t going to be here this past Monday. He’s in great shape, and he’s spending some time this offseason working on some of the things he has not been able to over the last offseason, due to some injuries.

“I do expect him to be here certainly at the minicamp at the end of the offseason program.”

Quinn also tossed out that Jones has spent time this offseason working with quarterback Matt Ryan, who just inked a new five-year, $150 million contract extension.
