Dave O’Brien of the Athletic joined Dukes and Bell to talk about the Braves and talked about Dansby Swanson’s hot streak at the plate “He made several little adjustments and it’s taken him back to when he successful. One of the guys he talked to was his Coach at East Cobb Baseball who reminds him who he is and worked on his hands, also Seitzer got to him on his base, and he credited Jeff Francoeur on getting him back on track, Frenchy went down and offered him some advice about widening his base down at the batting cage.”

When asked if Kevin Gausman was the steal of the trade deadline O’Brien said “Right now you have to say he was, I was one of the guys who should make a run at Archer, and when they got Gausman I was like ehh it’ll help. Man he’s been far better than Archer to this point, since he’s went to the stretch full time he’s been a godsend for this team, twice going 8 innings is so big for this team to help the bullpen out.”
