Dawgnation’s Chip Towers joined Mike Bell and Harry Douglas to preview The Sugar Bowl between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Texas Longhorns. Towers on the Deandre Baker and Justin Fields situations, “I don’t think Kirby was being untruthful but I feel like it is just the times we are in right now. I think that when Kirby found out about Baker he probably threw something down on his desk and maybe dropped a curse word or two.”

Towers on Justin Fields staying or going, “I find it hard to believe that Justin Fields will come back. You would rather have him on your team than not have him on your team.” Towers went on to say that it’s hard to justify playing Fields if he is going to be gone after this game.

Towers on the LSU game, “It was a line of demarcation for Georgia’s season. After that the Bulldogs stopped the quarterback rotation and the running back rotation.”

Towers on Fromm, “Right now they are 3rd in the country in efficiency when it comes to passing so it’s hard to force feed Fields into the offensive game plan.”

Towers on the rotation in the secondary without Deandre Baker, “Without Baker you don’t have a lockdown cornerback. I imagine Tyson Campbell is going to step in for Baker who lost his job to Eric Stokes. They also have a bigger corner named Mark Webb who I expect to see a good bit against the bigger wide receivers that Texas has.”

Towers on the breakdown of fans in New Orleans right now, “I think there is going to be a late arriving Georgia crowd but I definitely have seen more Texas fans down here so far.”
