Dawgnation’s Chip Towers joined the show to talk about the latest with the Dawgs. Towers on the Quarterback Situation, “Fields is the real deal but he has too much ground to make up based on the number of snaps Fromm had last year.” Towers said there is a plan for Justin Fields and he has to be ready to go because there are only two QB’s on the roster.

Towers on the offensive line, “This is the best offensive line group I have ever seen at Georgia.” Towers said a number of these lineman are 6’5 plus and everyone is over 300 pounds. On the running back group, Towers said to keep an eye on the late arriving James Cook (brother of Dalvin Cook). He said he has been impressive so far in practice.

To clarify the QB pecking order Towers said that Fields could eventually surpass Fromm but it will not happen anytime soon, especially in the pre-season.

Towers went on to talk about the WR Core and how competitive the group is right now with Demetrius Robinson being cleared to play. Towers said as of today Tae Crowder and Natrez Patrick are the starting inside linebackers.
