Atlanta Braves starter Mike Soroka threw seven scoreless innings while Austin Riley shined in his debut in a 4-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Riley hit a 438-foot home run in his second at-bat in his major league debut last night.

Of the nine players that were in the Braves starting lineup last night, five of them were 25-years-old or younger. Did we get a glimpse into the future of this team?

"This team is going in the right direction," Randy McMichael said. "Are we getting the wins we're supposed to get? No. But you're seeing the promise that this team could possibly have in the future."

"If some of these arms that we keep hearing about--that keep going back and forth on the Gwinnett shuttle--if they ever pan out, you're going to have something special here in Atlanta."
