Dennis Dodd from CBS joined Dukes and Bell to talk about the SEC spring meetings in Destin where one of the main story lines is transfer rules. Dennis said “I talked to a source here that it’s pretty much decided that there will be formal legislation where players just have to inform coaches and coaches have no say.”

Mike asked Dennis about the coaches argument against transfers, “Their worried about so called Free agency, which is players being able to transfer and not sit out, that’s not what this is about, this is about them just being able to transfer to where they can have a better opportunity.”

Carl asked Dennis about other items on the agenda for SEC Media days, Dodd told the guys “It’s not an official agenda item, but it’s fascinating to me that it’s inevitable they will be able to have alcohol at college games eventually which will change the dynamic. I just have this vision at death valley stadium on a Saturday night where there is alcohol and gambling allowed.”
