It was time for the weekly “Free Kick” segment and ATLUTD president Darren Eales is joined Dukes and Bell, when asked the World Cup starting Darren said “It’s the biggest sporting event, comes every four years, it’s fun to see the best players in the world out on the pitch.”

The guys mentioned to Darren that Barco despite rumors will not be on a WC roster Darren told the guys “Selfishly we don’t have any of our players on World Cup rosters so from our perspective we don’t have any disruptions.”

Mike asked Darren about the draw against NYCFC on Saturday, Eales said “It was a bit of a smash and grab, we got the point and we took it and ran. The post sort of saved us 3 times, Guz was phenomenal,  Yankee stadium is a bit of strange place to play soccer.”

Darren talked to the guys about Miguel Almiron’s injury on Saturday “When he went down we were very concerned, but fortunately it doesn’t look like a serious injury but he’s still day to day.”
