What the Falcons need to make it to the Super Bowl

The Atlanta Falcons have recently decided to part ways with running back Devonta Freeman opening a spot on the offensive lineup.

Jon Chuckery says the first thing the Falcons need to address is the 'pass rush' game.

Hugh says the next thing the Falcon should address is the running game although "some will argue in order to run the ball you have to have a stout offensive line." Chuckery agrees with Hugh especially "if were talking about getting back to the super bowl, they have to be a much better running team... to help Matt [Ryan] out and to close out games, you have to run the football better."

Devonta Freeman showed flashes of who he use to be in 2015- 2016 but it was not enough for the Falcons to continue the relationship. Hugh understands the debate of needing guys to block "but some backs are special that have the kind of vision that can take advantage of the situations they are in. At one point Devonta Freeman was that guy."

Chuckery and Hugh compare the running game to the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 2020 and attribute their victory to being good on both sides of the line of scrimmage, especially being able to run the football, which is something the Falcons have to adapt to their system.
