JR Doesn't Think Drafting Linemen in Round One Was the Right Move

April 27, 2019 - 6:06 pm

Every fan that went to the Atlanta Falcons Draft Party at Mercedes Benz Stadium thought they were there to watch to Falcons select a immediate defensive lineman. The silence after Boston College Offensive Guard Chris Lindstrom name was called as the Falcons 14th pick was deafening. When the Falcons traded back into the first round at pick 30, Falcons fans thought the team was selecting LSU CB Greedy Williams. When Washington Offensive Tackle Kaleb McGary name was annouinced as the Falcons 30th pick Falcons fans audibly groaned, 'Who?'.

JR host of the JR Sports Brief feels the fans pain. JR was at Mercedes Benz Stadium during the first round and talks about how disappointed he was that the Falcons pased over impact defensive players for two offensive linemen who JR says could of been taken on day two of the draft.
