While a kicking competition between Giorgio Tavecchio and Blair Wlash had been one of the big story lines leading up to the final preseason game, another kicker made even bigger news on Thursday afternoon.

The Falcons haven't been pleased with how the kickers have looked in the preseason and Thursday's game didn't help out as Tavecchio missed another long field goal and Blair Walsh had one blocked as well.

With Matt Bryant being in town today for a "tryout," John Fricke and Hugh Douglas spoke about the likelihood Bryant is not only signed, but also for how much and if it comes before a deal for Julio comes.

"The Falcons are tight under the cap and they have to get the Julio deal done in order to know how far they can go with Matt Bryant," says Fricke. "You have to sign Julio first."

Douglas feels the Falcons are going to have to pay a financial penalty for parting with Bryant the first time.

"You did kick me to the curb, however we get to that number, that's where I need to be.

"You need me more than I need you," explains Hugh Douglas. "This financial apology needs to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $2 Million."
