Warrick Dunn, named Honorary Captain of the Super Bowl LII Volunteer program, joined The Midday Show with Rick & John Friday.

Rick praised Warrick for what he did on the field but more importantly, what he's doing off the field. Dunn explained what he and the other volunteers are going to be doing for the fans when they come to Atlanta for the big game. Dunn talked about his story, losing his mom at a young age and how you can’t put things off that you can do today.

Dunn told us he deserves to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and he proved it by playing the game at a high level. He said he hopes to be recognized by the Hall of Fame one day and he knows God has a bigger plan for him.

Dunn joked that he wished he played in the league now versus the era he played in because he would have had a longer career based on the new rules.

The conversation went to the new contract request wide receiver Julio Jones has made to the Falcons. Dunn mentioned he is a limited owner with the Falcons and can see both sides of the situation. He did say Jones deserves his money, but the Falcons need to do what is best for the team.

Dunn told us what other players in the locker room think about Jones' stance and they respect his situation.
