Former Georgia quarterback and current SEC Network analyst D.J. Shockley joined The Morning Show with John and Hugh to preview The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party between Georgia and Florida in Jacksonville on Saturday.

“It’s always one of the biggest games of the year and most years it usually determines who is going to win the East," said Shockley. "We knew that if we wanted to make it to Atlanta we had to win this game.”

Shockley then talked about how he will have an iPad in front of him while he is wrapping up the Arkansas-Vanderbilt game and will be keeping one eye on the Bulldogs this week.

Shockley on the LSU game: “It’s a line-of-scrimmage game and LSU pinned them back and went and got it. When you go back and watch the tape on third down, LSU did things to confuse Jake Fromm and the offense.”

Shockley when asked about what Georgia’s defense has to do against Felipe Franks this weekend...

“We have heard over the years how Dan Mullen is a quarterback whisperer" said Shockley. "He puts Franks in great spots to make plays, especially what they are doing on first down by giving him an opportunity for a lot of run-pass option plays. Georgia’s defense has to do a better job of getting sacks.”

Shockley on why Fields isn’t getting the opportunity to pass more: “I have no clue but I have been calling for it. The only thing I could think of is that he hasn’t shown it in practice.”

Shockley on his prediction for this game “I have gone back and forth about it but I think Kirby [Smart] will get this team focused. I think this game will be a lot closer than people think and will be somewhere in the 20s, but I think Georgia will find a way to pull this one out.”
